Addiction Counseling Rooted In Care Without Conditions
At Agape Counseling, support is grounded in the true meaning of Agape, a form of care that welcomes individuals as they are. Our team offers compassionate care and understanding through lived experience, addiction counseling, and support for substance and alcohol misuse disorders through steady, honest communication. Sessions are available from nine to nine in Washington County and virtually throughout Utah, creating space for calm, accessible treatment that fits real life.

The Heart Of Agape
Agape Counseling was created to offer accessible support without long delays, guided by a therapist with lived experience in alcoholism and recovery. Many individuals who reach out for addiction support encounter extended waitlists or limited appointment options. Our practice was built to offer steadier and more immediate care from therapists who themselves who have experienced recovery. We believe support should be reachable at the moment a person decides they are ready.

About Christine Wolken
Hi everyone, my name is Christine Wolken and I am the lead counselor and founder of Agape Counseling located just outside Zion National Park in the beautiful town of Springdale I’ve called home for many years.
My desire to go back to school for addiction was based on personal life experiences. Through my healing journey for myself and with my loved ones I began the long road to recovery. Through practical education and personal development and perseverance I hope to help others in their recovery journey.
“As a trauma informed mental health and recovery therapist I’ll be guiding those who need personalized support from someone who has been there and has found years of sobriety to be the best personal choice I’ve made for myself and my loved ones.
Trust someone who knows the struggle, and can provide you a safe non judgmental space to truly begin to heal.”
In-Person And Virtual Counseling
Services are available at our location in Washington County in person and virtually across Utah. Virtual sessions offer flexibility for individuals who prefer privacy, experience mobility limitations, or have demanding schedules. Family members may participate when clinically appropriate.
Affordable Paths To Counseling And Recovery
Agape Counseling accepts insurance for many treatment plans. Sliding-scale pricing is offered to make support more accessible for individuals and families experiencing financial strain. Our goal is to remove barriers so help is available when it is needed most.

moving through social interactions with more ease
addressing family dynamics and improved communication skills with loved ones
a deeper understanding by those around you the real meanings behind the drink
fewer relapses and more stable emotions over time
